A practical research project by Sputnik, 15 housing associations, subsidized by the ministry of the interior. In 2013 the national policy regarding social housing shifted considerably. According to the new policy, the rent for social houses should be less subsidized and more fit to the income of the tenant.

nov.’17: Hofbad Tower up for D&B tender
We’ve produced a feasibility study for the Hofbad Toren in The Hague commissioned by housing association Staedion. The resulting model is a highrise with social housing apartments and it is used as a base for the D&B tender.

New typology for Dutch refugee centers
Since 2014 we have been working with Centraal Orgaan opvang Asielzoekers, COA, on different assignments for refugee housing. Sputnik’s first built
In 2001 we got our very first commission as Sputnik office. Two pensionados were planning to move from the Randstad to the countryside and had specific ideas about their new home. One of which was that the mother of the lady of the house would move in and have her own quarter inside the house.
