Sputnik Architecture Urbanism Research maakt klip-en-klare, bruikbare en eenvoudig te begrijpen ontwerpen voor complexe opgaven op het gebied van architectuur en stedenbouw. Aan de basis van onze ontwerpen ligt typologisch onderzoek. We stellen hoge eisen aan de kwaliteit van ons werk. Het resultaat is een integraal ontwerp, gemaakt met gevoel voor de opgave, de context en het detail.

Sputnik ontwerpt duurzame leefomgevingen, op verschillende schalen, van gebouw tot stedenbouwkundig plan. Bijzondere aandacht voor de overgang tussen privédomein en publieke ruimte en tussen gebouw en landschap stimuleert levendig gebruik van de ontwerpen.

Het inzetten van duurzame technieken is een integraal onderdeel van het ontwerpproces. Het doel is daarbij altijd een gebouwd resultaat dat comfortabel is en dat op de lange termijn zijn ruimtelijke, esthetische en bouwtechnische kwaliteiten behoudt. Ons werk heeft daarom een uitgesproken en tijdloos karakter.

Sputnik realiseert bouwprojecten en stedenbouwkundige plannen. De overkoepelende thema’s van Sputnik zijn: alledaagsheid, identiteit, authenticiteit, (publieke) gebruiksruimte en sfeer. Deze thema’s worden bij elkaar gebracht in het ontwerp, waardoor eigenzinnige, frisse projecten ontstaan die zich kenmerken door een open, specifiek, onverwacht en toch vertrouwd karakter.
